Thank you to the 685 VITA volunteers over the past eight years. Because of them, more than $22M has been returned to taxpayers, helping build more sustainable futures for not just these households, but also for our community. Come join us and volunteer to be a part of the solution to helping families achieve financial stability.

Pam Valentine, United Way of Greater Stark County VITA Volunteer for the past eight years – “I helped a single mom with three children as a client this past season. She was able to receive the earned income tax credit and had never filed for it before, because she didn’t know to take it. When she found out the amount of money she was getting back, she just couldn’t believe it and said, I can get my car fixed now. Her story is typical of the stories we hear when we do people’s taxes. We know that we’re here for a good reason and that we make a difference in people’s lives.”
