Taylor Prelac

Your title: Manager of Corporate Engagement

Tell us a bit about your background: I’ve been working in the non-profit sector my whole career. It’s so rewarding for me to change lives in my community.

When did you join the team at United Way of Greater Stark County? I joined in the beginning of August 2023.

Briefly explain your role at United Way: I play an essential role in the organization’s fundraising efforts by growing, developing and managing portfolios of existing and new corporate relationships to develop, retain and grow the level of financial support and commitment to United Way of Greater Stark County’s work.

What do you enjoy most about your work at United Way? I absolutely love seeing the work I do and the relationships that I bring together making a difference in the community, such as a large corporation volunteering at one of our partners and seeing the direct impact it has on children and families.

What do you like to do outside of work? I have 2 children. I have a child in heaven, and I have a 2.5-year-old son here with me. I’m married to my husband of 4 years, and we have a big silver Lab dog and a crazy cat. I also run my own non-profit in Stark County which gives back to mothers in Ohio who have miscarriages.

I love going to concerts and listening to music, especially country.

If you could share any piece of advice with the children of Stark County, what would it be? Be kind. Always.

You can be anything you want to be when you grow up, but the most important thing to be is happy.

Is there anything else you would like us to include in your bio? I am so very proud of what I do here at United Way. I absolutely love making a difference.
