(Canton, Ohio) Nov. 19, 2019 — With just three weeks left in the annual campaign, United Way of Greater Stark County is making a final push to reach its aggressive fundraising goal. The organization has so far raised $3,710,124, which is 60.1% of its $6.1 million goal.
“We’re so grateful to those in the community who have already rallied around this campaign and shown their support,” said Mark Wright, chief financial officer at Aultman Health Foundation and co-chair of this year’s campaign. “As we near our Dec. 6 deadline, we hope others will help us build on that momentum and push us to our goal.”
Dollars raised from this year’s campaign will fund vital programs and services that improve the health, education and financial stability of Stark and Carroll County.
“With this year’s campaign, we’ve called on our community to ‘Be the reason,’” said Maria Heege, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Stark County. “We are asking everyone to join us. This area is facing an urgent need. These much-needed programs can only continue with the support of the community. With your contribution, you can be the reason help is within reach. Now more than ever, we need you to be the reason we’re a stronger community.”
