United Way Asks the Community to Design a Logo for Their 100 Years of Community Service

(Stark County, Ohio) May 19, 2021 – Since 1922, United Way has been present in Stark County. Through the merging of United Way Alliance, Central Stark County and Western Stark, United Way of Greater Stark County has been a part of this community for a century.

On Feb 20, 2022, United Way of Greater Stark County will begin to celebrate the many years of progress and transformation. Because our neighbors are an important part of our success, we would like to ask them to design a centennial logo for us to use throughout the celebration. Details are available at uwstark.org/100. Submissions must be in by May 24 at midnight.

United Way couldn’t have made it this far without the support of their amazing and generous donors, volunteers, workplaces and community partners. The organization has continued to work hard over the years to make our community a better place through health, education and financial stability programs, advocating for compelling policy change, and remained steadfast in the spirit of innovation and transformed into a social impact organization that takes on the big, complex, and daunting challenges our community faces daily.

“We look forward to seeing the creative logo design submissions from our community,” says Maria Heege, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Stark County. “Our volunteers and staff are very excited about the opportunity to honor our past as we continue to shape our future. Be on the look-out for events and activities honoring our hundredth anniversary in the weeks and months ahead. We look forward to the possibilities ahead in our community as we reflect on the years gone by.”

More exciting activities surrounding the Centennial Celebration will be announced over the next nine+ months.
