Reflecting on the Impact of United Way of Greater Stark County in 2024

As we close out another impactful year, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the extraordinary strides United Way of Greater Stark County has made in 2024. From the power of volunteerism to expanding crucial initiatives, this year has been filled with collaboration, progress, and a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families across our community. Here’s a look back at some of our most significant milestones and highlights.

A Heartfelt Thank You to 520 Volunteers

At the core of United Way’s success in 2024 has been the generosity of our 520 volunteers. These individuals have given their time, energy, and expertise to help drive our mission forward. From helping families access essential resources to lending hands at local events, our volunteers have been the backbone of many of our initiatives. Their dedication and passion for strengthening our community are inspiring, and we are so grateful for their ongoing support.

Highlighting Our Amazing Partners: 7 “Ang on the Go” Spotlights

One of the most rewarding aspects of 2024 has been our ongoing efforts to recognize the incredible work being done by our community partners. Through our “Ang on the Go” series, we had the privilege of featuring seven outstanding organizations making a tangible difference in Stark County. These spotlights have allowed us to share the stories of local nonprofits, and individuals who are working tirelessly to uplift our community, and we’ve been proud to shine a light on their efforts. Their work continues to inspire and motivate us to keep pushing forward with our mission of building a stronger, more equitable community for all.

Expanding Neighborhood Strong Families Initiatives

One of the most exciting developments this year has been the expansion of our Neighborhood Strong Families initiative. Originally launched in Canton, this program has made a real difference in the lives of children and families by providing resources and support for academic and personal success. In 2024, we’ve been thrilled to extend this initiative to two new locations: Massillon and Alliance.

In Massillon, our program is now serving families at Franklin Elementary School, where students and parents alike are benefiting from the holistic support provided. Similarly, in Alliance, our partnership with Alliance Preschool is helping to set a strong foundation for the youngest learners, empowering them to reach their full potential. These expansions mean more children and families are being supported, and we couldn’t be more excited about the future of Strong Neighborhood Strong Families.

We’re also proud to continue our work at Gibbs ElementarOur Impact in 2024Our Impact in 2024 copy_1220CBF7-0B43-44F0-85C8-61C6043AA86A (3)y School in Canton, where the initiative is already making a lasting impact on the lives of students and their families. This ongoing support has created a ripple effect of positivity and progress, demonstrating that when communities come together, incredible things can happen.

Looking Ahead: More to Come in 2025

As we reflect on all that we’ve accomplished in 2024, it’s clear that United Way of Greater Stark County is on a path of positive growth. Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, partners, and donors, we’ve been able to expand our programs, improve access to resources, and touch more lives than ever before. But our work is far from done.

In 2025, we will continue to build on these successes, strengthening our existing programs and exploring new ways to address the evolving needs of our community. Our commitment to education, financial stability, and health will remain at the forefront of our efforts, and we’ll continue working to ensure that every person in Stark County has the opportunity to thrive.

We are so grateful to all of you who have joined us in this work. Whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word about the impact of United Way, your contributions are what make our success possible. We look forward to another year of partnership and progress, as we work together to build a brighter future for everyone in Stark County.

Thank you for being a part of our journey!
