(Stark and Carroll Counties, OH) April 15, 2021 – May 14, United Way of Greater Stark County hosts their 28th annual Day of Caring event, presented by Huntington Bank. The event will be a curbside collection of new underwear and socks for children and adults.
“Day of Caring is about bringing people together to make a big impact in the community,” says Laura Prengaman, Assistant Director of Campaign at United Way of Greater Stark County. “Socks and underwear are basic necessities. Because of the pandemic and related economic downturn, more families in our community are struggling with financial stability meaning it’s harder to afford items like these. Please consider joining us this May as we support our neighbors.”
Location, time and collection items:
- United Way of Greater Stark County: Canton: 401 Market Avenue North, 44702
- 10 AM – 2 PM

“We are proud to partner with the United Way to support the Day of Caring. When we all come together for the same cause, one day really can make a difference,” said Williams C. Shivers, Regional President of Huntington Bank in the Canton and Mahoning Valley Regions. “People don’t choose to be in need, but we can choose to help. All of us at Huntington look forward to working alongside our friends and neighbors to collect basic necessities for the Stark County community.”
