“Family-friendly policies benefit employers, families and society. Each year, award recipients demonstrate that family-friendly policies are proven, cost-effective solutions for reducing turnover, improving employee morale and commitment, as well as improving the quality of life,” says Amy Mast, United Way of Greater Stark County’s Women United Steering Chair. “Our hope is that the recipients of the awards will share with other workplaces how beneficial family-friendly policies can be for companies and employees. Communication is the key to more places adopting similar policies. Together, we can advocate and change our community for the better, one reachable goal at a time.”
Previous recipients include: 2019: MAC Trailer, CommQuest Services and The Karcher Group; 2018: Employers Health, TimkenSteel and Schauer Group; 2017: Aultman Health Foundation and Domestic Violence Project.
Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, and for the safety of the community, the fourth-annual event will take place on online at United Way’s Facebook and YouTube social media platforms.
