Birth Certificate, ID Card and Driver License Voucher Program

Without access to identification documents, those in need experience an increase in vulnerability, impacting employment, housing, education, medical care and access to services. This program eliminates the barrier associated with accessing these documents so those in need can concentrate their time and resources on rebuilding.

Birth certificate, Photo ID, and Driver's License

Without a birth certificate or photo identification, individuals and families in our community struggle to find the care they need. Whether it’s a homeless family looking for shelter or an individual seeking addiction treatment, in-house recovery services often require documentation at the time of intake.

About the ID program

At United Way of Greater Stark County, we partner with Stark County shelters, treatment centers and community organizations to provide vouchers for free birth certificates, photo IDs and driver license to Stark County residents born in Ohio.

To be eligible for the vouchers, participants must receive services through a partnering Stark County shelter, treatment center or other community organization.

Please note that United Way of Greater Stark County does not issue vouchers. Our partnering shelter, treatment and community organizations issue vouchers directly to those in need who are receiving their supports and services.
