DeHoff Emerging Philanthropist of Stark County Award Application

NOMINATORS: The deadline for nomination applications is January 26, 2018 at noon. If your nominee is selected, you may be asked to provide photographs and to appear in a United Way of Greater Stark County video.

The winner of the DeHoff Emerging Philanthropist Award will receive $5,000 to be donated to the winner's charity of choice (must be a 510c3 nonprofit health & human services organization). The selected recipient and nominator should plan to attend the United Way of Greater Stark County Annual Meeting, Spring 2017, where the selected recipient will be formally recognized. 


Nominees for the DeHoff Emerging Philanthropist Award should be individuals under the age of 45 who impact Stark County through any of United Way of Greater Stark County's BOLD GOALS areas. Nominees can serve through direct service or volunteer work in a concentrated area as well as across all three areas:

HEALTH: We envision a community where all residents have access to programs & services that improve the overall health of Greater Stark County.

Healthy lifestyles  |  Physical health

EDUCATION: We envision a community that supports & enables all students to reach age appropriate milestones, leading to graduation & careers.

School readiness  |  Success in school

FINANCIAL STABILITY: We envision a community where a cycle for financial success exists, allowing individuals and families access to build long-term, economic independence.

Access to affordable housing  |  Job training & preparation  |  Asset building  |  Financial Coaching  | Household Stabilization  | Behavioral health
