Read across america

READ ACROSS AMERICA Friday March 1, 2019

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go... - Dr. Seuss "Oh, the places you will go"

On March 1st, the day before Dr. Seuss’s birthday, United Way of Greater Stark County volunteers will read this children’s classic at local child care centers and schools to help build a nation of readers.

Reading to children helps send a message that reading is fun and important. It also helps the community work towards our goal of 100% Kindergarten Readiness.

Let us know if you are interested in volunteering to read to kids throughout Stark County for one hour increments between 9am - 12pm on Friday, March 1, and we will get in touch with available locations and times.
