The Women's Leadership Council focuses our energies on empowering women to make a change in our community. We focus on Graduation and Training for young women, setting a mentoring system with existing agencies to challenge women into professional and technical careers as engineering, manufacturing, finance, law, health care and information systems. Today, approximately 14 percent of the Stark County population does not have a high school diploma. These are statistics we can change. When we reach our a hand to one, we impact the lives of all. Women's Leadership Council The Women’s Leadership Initiative of the United Way of Greater Stark County engages women’s support of human service issues through education, inspiration and opportunities to enrich our community. Through this initiative, the United Way is reaching out in new ways to inform, invite and include women in our work to build community through sustenance of agencies and programs that address complex health and human service issues. Membership in the Women’s Leadership Initiative reflects a commitment to making a difference and achieving measurable results.
