United Way of Greater Stark County just made it easier for you to file your taxes for free!

Drop-off service available February 12 to April 9 on Mondays from 10:30AM - 5:30PM.

Families and individuals who qualify for the agency’s free tax preparation clinics may drop off tax information, sign a quick form and then pick up completed taxes witin four business days or less. No appointment is required.

From January 23, 2017 to April 11, individuals with a combined household income $65,000 or less can drop off their taxes between Noon - 7 PM on Mondays at United Way of Greater Stark County’s office located at 401 Market Avenue, Suite 300, Canton, Ohio 44705 . An IRS certified tax preparer will complete the tax preparation process. 

*Directions to United Way office: Drive south (towards downtown Canton) on Market Avenue, turn right on 4th Street. Travel two blocks on 4th Street (crossing over Court Avenue), turn right onto Cleveland Avenue and then turn right again into the United Way designated parking lot. The United Way building is on the corner of Market Avenue and 4th Street. The double door entrance is located on 4th Street.

What is United Way of Greater Stark County’s VITA program? Have your tax return prepared and e-filed by our IRS trained and certified volunteers for FREE. If you file using direct deposit, you’ll have your tax refund in as soon as 7-10 days. You may qualify for it and receive up to $6,444 per taxpaying family. If you earned $65,000 or less last year, call us today to see if you qualify to file with VITA. Clients are required to make an appointment by calling 330-994-VITA (8482).
