Craft breweries announced for Canton’s first-ever Craft Beer Invitational June 4 at Pro Football Hall of Fame; advance ticket pricing ends May 28

(Canton, OH) May 17, 2016 – United Way Young Leaders Society will host the area’s first ever Canton Craft Beer Invitational Saturday, June 4, noon to 4 p.m., at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Ticket holders will receive admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in addition to 15 craft beer tastings from leading brewers around the state. General admission tickets are $45 before May 28, or $55 at the door.

“Young Leaders Society is excited to combine a few of the great things that Stark County is best known for – amazing craft beers, football and a strong community. With this event, we’ll be able to showcase craft breweries, many from right here in Stark County at the legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame, all while raising money for a worthwhile cause!” said Carrie Clemens, assistant director of resource development, United Way of Greater Stark County. Proceeds will benefit Young Leader Society sponsored events held throughout the year.

Breweries will compete for awards in Best IPA, Stout/Porter and Summer Seasonal in addition to a People’s Choice award for Best Brewery. Judging will take place as a blind tasting before the event opens to the public. Local celebrity judges are Rick Armon of The Beer Blog, Dan Stansbury of Rock 106.9’s The Stansbury Show and Ted Swaldo of Gervasi Vineyard.

General admission tickets are $45 before May 28 ($55 at the door) and include 15 beer tastings. Limited VIP tickets are available for $65. VIP guests receive one-hour early admission to the event and exclusive access to the VIP room, 15 beer tastings, souvenir growler and complimentary appetizers provided by Fishers Foods and Gervasi Vineyard. Designated driver tickets are $20 and include two complimentary soda/water drink tickets. All event ticket holders receive free admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is located at 2121 George Halas Dr. NW in Canton, Ohio. Doors open to VIP ticketholders at 11 a.m., and general admission opens at noon.
