Women's Leadership Council Scholarship

In 2015, United Way Women's Leadership Council (WLC) awarded multiple scholarships totaling $8,000 to female high school seniors and non-traditional college students.

WLC Scholarship Criteria
To advance young women to become leaders in the community, WLC will award multiple scholarships to female high school student seniors. 
  • Female student.
  • Traditional student must be graduating from a Stark County high school; the non-traditional applicant must be a Stark County resident.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75.
  • Graduating senior must be entering college as a full time student; the non- traditional student may be enrolled full time or part time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to community service.
WLC Scholarship Checklist
(be sure you include all of the information with your application)
  • Traditional applicant must be:
    • Female.
    • High school senior – or –
    • First year college/technical school student.
  • Non-traditional applicant must be:
    • Female.
    • First year college/technical school student.
  • Submit your most recent transcript and a letter of reference from a teacher, volunteer supervisor, other adult.
