Affinity groups within the United Way system are collaborations of donors with shared interests who are committed to significantly improving the quality of life in their region through focused philanthropic giving, advocacy and volunteering.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader. United Way of Greater Stark County Leaders in Giving choose to make a meaningful difference in the community by giving $1,000 or more annually. The Step Up to Leadership program » allows donors to begin giving at a $500 level and be recognized as Leaders in Giving donors while increasing gifts over a five-year period.

Alexis de Tocqueville Society »
The Tocqueville Society echoes the American spirit of cooperation and good will which de Tocqueville witnessed in early America. It personifies the true meaning of philanthropy, with members giving $10,000 or more annually to United Way of Greater Stark County. The Step Up to Alexis de Tocqueville program allows donors to begin giving at $5,000 and be recognized locally and nationally as a Tocqueville Society member while increasing their gift over a five year period to reach $10,000.

Women United »
You’ll be a part of a community of like-minded women who contribute their personal passions, best ideas, and unique strengths to the mission of building stronger communities. Volunteer within our community alongside others looking to create change. Network and collaborate with key business and community leaders at exclusive events. Learn more about critical issues impacting our community. Advocate for key community issues at the local and state level. More than 300 women leaders annually contribute $1,000 or more to United Way of Greater Stark County. WU also offers an engaged contributor level for those wanting to join and give $250 or more annually and 10 hours of volunteer time.

The United Way's Young Leaders Society is a group of passionate young professionals who come together to educate, engage and inspire individuals across Greater Stark County. We harness our time and talents through mentorship, fundraising and volunteerism to activate education initiatives and build a better community.

Labor CARES >>
United Way of Greater Stark County's Labor CARES is a brand new volunteer advocacy group focused on Stark County's labor community and bringing this community together to give back and lift each other up. Labor CARES Leadership Board dedicates their efforts to building and unifying the arms of labor: community, activism, resources, education and service.
