Collect baby items June 1 - June 21, 2017
Collect baby items to help at-risk mothers and give their newborns a strong start.
Or make a donation and we will purchase new baby items for you >
DID YOU KNOW?
Stark County has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation? Poverty, poor housing, lack of access to medical care and maternal stress all can contribute to premature births and infant deaths.
YOU CAN HELP:
Collect baby items to be distributed to at-risk mothers at the Community Baby Shower. In addition to receiving necessities for their baby, moms will visit education stations with information on finding a doctor for their baby, car seat safety, infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, nutrition and more.
HOW IT WORKS:
United Way will deliver collection bins for baby items to your location. Your organization will collect baby items through the month of April. At the Community Baby Shower on XX, organizations will drop off their loaded bins at the baby shower site. Volunteers will sort the baby items and distribute to the mothers attending the Community Baby Shower from XX - XX.
TBD: Moms – find out more about the baby shower and how to RSVP >
TBD: Volunteers are needed for the Sort-a-thon and Community Baby Shower on XX. Sign-up here >
