This is our chance to thank and honor our generous donors, corporate partners, volunteers and outstanding workplace campaigns. This year we are celebrating 90 years of United Way and we have some outstanding award recipients to honor.
2013 GOLD KEY WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to Erine Bodo and to Nadine MacIlwaine-Massey, 2013 Gold Key recipients. The Gold Key award recognizes those volunteers who have continually demonstrated the highest degree of personal dedication and service in a voluntary capacity to the United Way and/or community partners.
2013 DEHOFF EMERGING PHILANTHROPIST OF STARK COUNTY WINNER ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to winner Derek Gordon on receiving this honor! Each year, the DeHoff Emerging Philanthropist of Stark County award is presented to an outstanding individual under 40 who impacts Stark County through direct service and volunteer work. The recipient will receive $5,000 from the DeHoff family to be donated to a health & human services 501(c)3 organization of the award recipient's choice.
2012 CAMPAIGN AWARD NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
Each year, the support of United Way's annual campaign grows not only in dollars raised, but in leadership and creativity! Caring workplaces put their hearts into helping people right here at home. This year we will recognize 9 different companies with the Honor Roll Award - an award that recognizes companies that have achieved 5-years of consecutive growth in their campaigns. Finalists for Community Partner of the Year are: J. Babe Stearn Community Center, Quest Recovery & Prevention Services, Catholic Charities Serving Portage and Stark Counties, YWCA of Alliance, Westark Family Services and YMCA of Western Stark County. Awards will also be given for Campaign Committee of the Year, New Campaign of the Year, Special Event of the Year and Campaign of the Year.
CEO of the Year award recipients for this year are: Kevin Smith of PPI Graphics, Paul Bishop of H-P Products, Inc. and Alexandra Nicholis-Coon of the Massillon Museum. These individuals show their support of United Way through their workplace campaigns and their dedication to the community each and every day. We are proud to honor them with this award!
