More than 1300 volunteers made for a record-breaking Day of Caring this year!
1,302 volunteers from 58 area businesses were partnered with 67 local non-profit agencies to complete 102 projects.
American Red Cross, Stark County Chapter volunteers made and delivered 1,435 lunches! A hard working crew from Brewster Dairy and the Red Cross worked for 2 days preparing and assembling lunches at Faith Family Church.
A few project highlights:
Timken volunteers built a new room at the Total Living Center for use as a chiropractic clinic.
Massillon Boys & Girls Club received a children’s library makeover by Massillon Library volunteers.
1600 back pack lunches were prepped by Diebold volunteers for the Purple Power Packs to provide nutrition for children on the weekend.
Alliance Rotary members prepared and served community luncheon at the Salvation Army of Alliance.
Chesapeake Energy did landscaping at Catholic Charities Adult Day Services in Louisville.
Stark State volunteers had direct classroom experience teaching Junior Achievement in a Day and preparing materials for early childhood educators at the Early Childhood Resource Center.
Goodwill Industries received computer refurbishing of donated computers by the Timken volunteers.
Dollar Savings and Loan volunteers helped Community Hospice by making items for their sunshine projects.
Gregory Industries cleaned, landscaped and repaired children’s bicycles for the Alliance Area Domestic Violence Shelter.
Community Services Fuline Center received a major makeover by Huntington Bank.
