Bob and Linda DeHoff, Chairpersons, Alexis De Tocqueville Society
How I LIVE UNITED
"United Way allows us to serve the greater needs of our community and influence the condition of all with one gift ... a meaningful and heartfelt investment into Stark County, our home.
United Way has shown an incredible ability to reinvent itself, time and again, to address the ever-changing needs of Stark County residents - helping build a better and brighter future for our community. Important to us - United Way pays particular attention to the root causes of challenges our area faces and addresses these in significant and measurable ways.
Together, we can all make a difference. This is why, for many years, we have been chairpersons of the United Way of Greater Stark County's Alexis de Tocqueville Society.
This is why, and how, we LIVE UNITED."

Donna Demerling Former Chair, Women's Leadership Council
How I LIVE UNITED
"As an experienced business professional and a member of a council aimed at changing lives, I help create opportunities for youth to achieve their potential.
The Women's Leadership Council focuses our energies on empowering women to make change in our community. We focus on Graduation and Training for young women, setting a mentoring system with existing agencies to challenge women into professional and technical careers as engineering, manufacturing, finance, law, health care and information systems.
Today, approximately 14 percent of the Stark County population does not have a high school diploma. These are statistics we can change.
When we reach out a hand to one, we impact the lives of all.
I volunteer to make a difference in our community. This is how I LIVE UNITED."
