The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is administered locally by the Family Economic Success (FES) Program. FES Program offers free tax preparation for low to moderate income taxpayers with income of $49,000 or below. All preparers are IRS certified. Services are provided throughout Stark County in partnership with local schools, churches, financial institutions, social service agencies and etc. Returns are prepared and electronically e-filed, Individuals taking advantage of e-filing receive their refund in as little as 7– 10 days.
